By definition a CCRC, or Continuing Care Retirement Community, is a senior living community that provides multiple levels of care at one senior living community.
Once you understand the meaning of the term, the question becomes: what does it mean for you?
It all comes down to one thing — certainty. That certainty gives you freedom. It’s the freedom to enjoy today. It’s the freedom from worry about what you’ll do should your health needs change tomorrow.
With multiple levels of care, you’ll be able to live in the same community, even if you need more care later. Stay in the place you already call home with friends and neighbors close, plus all the great amenities and services you already enjoy.
Levels of care often include the following:
Independent Living is the ideal retirement experience for seniors who are ready to downsize from a larger home. It offers spacious residences and minimal maintenance and upkeep.
Assisted Living is the right choice for people who need extra help with daily activities. Qualified staff assists with managing medication, dressing and bathing.
Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care is person-centered care for all stages of the disease in a compassionate, supportive environment.
Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing provides short-term surgical recovery or long-term rehabilitation with round-the-clock, licensed nursing care.
There are two types of CCRCs: rental communities and Life Care communities. A rental CCRC operates on a monthly fee basis. A Life Care CCRC charges a monthly fee, similar to a rental CCRC, but Life Care residents also pay an upfront entrance fee. It’s like a down payment and while it’s an investment on the front end, you benefit from savings in healthcare costs down the road.
In our CCRCs, not only will you have access to additional care if you need it, but you’ll also enjoy beautifully landscaped grounds, daily activities and outings and great amenities such as:
So come on, and take the route to the active lifestyle you’ve always wanted and leave the baggage of chores, home maintenance and uncertainty behind.
